iCalamus is a commercial software product. Nevertheless, its external plug-in interface offers third-party developers a way of producing commercial plug-ins for iCalamus as well as free plug-ins. Free plug-ins can be set under GNU General Public License (GNU GPL).
iCalamus is shipped with at least two GPL plug-ins:
Hyphenator
Tracer
These plug-ins are not part of iCalamus but enhance its abilities. GPL products must be shipped with a textual copy of the GNU GPL which is only defined officially in English. There are translated versions of the GNU GPL available, but without any guarantee to be accepted as official translations.
