When you choose this menu item, the last object which has been placed onto the System Clipboard will be pasted into the current document. Important: If the object is an iCalamus object (e.g. a frame), it will keep its former position.
If you paste another object (e.g. an image, or any other format not created by iCalamus), into an iCalamus document, there are two options:
If no frame is selected, iCalamus automatically starts the Paste mode where you firstly have to create a new frame for the new content.
If a frame is selected, the object will be pasted as content into that frame. If the object had been placed onto the System Clipboard in different formats (e.g. a PDF can be placed there as an image and as a real PDF at the same time), iCalamus automatically selects the best format and pastes it into the frame.
