iCalamus keeps objects and object groups in frames. Frames can have several shapes, but all frames base on a rectangle shape. As it would be rather difficult to see empty frames on a white page, you can switch on or off here, if frame guides should be shown on screen.
If you use container frames, their shape and the diagonal substitute indicator cross will be visible only, when you have checked this menu item.
