You will not always be able and see all details of a document in say a whole page view. Therefore, the magnifier is one of the most important tools in order to recognize and edit object details much better on screen.
Select the magnifier and draw an imaginery frame in the document which represents the part of the document you would like to see zoomed. The document zoom view will be updated immediately. The maximum zoom in iCalamus is 10,000% at the moment.
A double-click on the Zoom tool in the tool palette resets the current zoom to 100%.
Końcówkę: In Zoom mode, the mouse cursor basically shows a magnifier with a tiny plus symbol which indicates that you will zoom into the document, which means you will enlarge the view (and shrink the visible document area at the same time). If you want to zoom out of the document, press the [Option] key and click with the magnifier into the document. The zoom view of the document will then be half the current value, e.g. from 10,000% back to 5,000%.
