Switching from InDesign

InDesign and iCalamus have their own document formats but support exchange of standard formats for text, images and vector graphics.

• InDesign documents cannot start with a left page in double page mode.
• InDesign uses a special tool (Direct Selection tool) for editing of object content, while you simply open objects in iCalamus.
• In InDesign, the Selection tool will be activated temporarily by pressing [Ctrl], while you have to press [Option] in iCalamus.
• You cannot cancel a tool action or switch back to the Selection tool by pressing [Esc] in InDesign.
• 'Empty' shape frames can be selected in InDesign only by clicking their Outline.
